Join us for Virtual Coldest Night of the Year!

A COVID-safe, family friendly, virtual 2km and 5km winter walk, in support of the communities YSM serves in downtown Toronto (Regent Park, Moss Park, St. James Town) which have been deeply impacted by the COVID-19 crisis.

Our Coldest Night of the Year goal is to raise $150,000, with your help we can do it. Let’s walk together and make a stand to end chronic poverty in Toronto in a generation.

There is a place for everyone!

Whether you register to walk, donate or volunteer, for location choose: TORONTO DOWNTOWN YONGE STREET MISSION

Choose whether you want to register to walk or donate to an existing walker or team.

COVID has changed CNOY 2021

This year we’re having a virtual walk to keep everyone safe.

What does this mean?

  • It means you are still walking and fundraising!
  • The only difference is we won’t all walk together. Instead you will walk your 2km or 5km in the safety of your family/team bubble or walk solo.
  • The great thing about a virtual walk is you get to choose your own route and the time of day on February 20 you want to start!
  • Please note if you are unable to walk on February 20, you can walk any day in February (of course Saturday February. 20 is the ideal day, as YSM and our many participants will be joining you in spirit!)
  • If your team members are walking in different locations, as Team Captain you can set the time, when everyone starts walking. Maybe have everyone take a selfie at the start and during their walk and share photos with each other along the way.
  • The nice thing about being a Team Captain for a virtual fundraising walk is you can be as creative as you want with your team.
  • To keep you connected to other walkers and teams, we’ve created a YSM CNOY Facebook group. Join here.

Fundraising Changes:

  • There is no registration fee!
  • Toque for Fundraisers. The CNOY Toques will be a “thank you” for all those who fundraise a minimum of $150 (for adults 18 or older) or $75 (for youth 17 and younger).
  • All Money Gets Mailed In. This year all cash donations must be paid online through Fundhub, and all cheque donations collected and mailed directly to the CNOY Head Office prior to the event.
